On Wednesday December 10th, Model UN will be hosting its first Global Christmas holiday party.  The event will be held from 5:30 - 8:30 pm in the M-Room. There will be free games and crafts, a photo booth, and a free movie! Klaus will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the PAC. Concession stands featuring treats from around the world will be available for purchase at the event. All students (and their families and siblings) are welcome to attend!
 
Open auditions for Shrek the Musical will be Monday, Dec. 1 and Tuesday Dec. 2 at 7pm in the choir room. You do not have to attend both audition days. Callbacks will be held on Dec. 3 starting at 7pm. Performance dates are Feb. 27-March 1 and rehearsals will typically be 7-9pm Monday-Thursday and 4-6pm on Fridays starting Jan. 5. Please be prepared to perform 30 seconds of a song from a musical and a short comedic monologue. Selections must be school appropriate and please, no pop music or songs/monologues from TV or movies. Mr. Lentz has a selection of songs and monologues in the choir room to choose from, if needed.

Model UN is collecting toilet paper rolls to use for a craft table at our Global Christmas event on December 10th. We would appreciate any donations! Please bring them to Mrs. Rudi's room (G05) any time before December 10th.
Join us for the 4th Annual Holiday Extravaganza Friday, Dec. 12 and Saturday, Dec. 13 at 7pm in the Monroe High School Performing Arts Center! This Holly Jolly Fundraiser features performances by the MHS and MMS Choirs, MHS Jazz Band, Comedy, and more! Tickets are $10 and seating is reserved. This event has sold out in the past so we encourage you to purchase tickets online in advance.
Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, November 28th at https://monroeschoolspac.ludus.com/index.php.  All proceeds support the MHS Choir, Band, Theatre, and MMS Choir programs!
 
FREE Nursing Assistant Class at BTC
If you are interested in a career in healthcare, Blackhawk Technical College is offering a FREE Nursing Assistant class here in Monroe. These classes meet Wednesdays from 4-7 pm and Saturdays from 7 am-1 pm, starting on February 2. You cannot miss a class. If you are interested, please contact Tracey Wren at BTC at (608) 329-8200 to start the application process. (The application process can take up to a month, so get started now.)

15th Annual Prom for Pennies Needs Your Help!
Prom for Pennies is an event sponsored by the Monroe High School Junior Optimist club. The event provides area high schoolers the opportunity to purchase a gently used prom dress or tux voucher. Our organization is looking for ready to wear dresses: long, short, prom or formal. If you have a dress donation please contact Katherine Lehto at the high school. Dresses may also be dropped off at the Monroe High School Office between 8am - 4pm. 
The Prom for Pennies event will be held on Sunday, January 18th, 2025 at the Monroe High School from 1pm - 3 pm. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Jacob’s SWAG Foundation, Inc.
 
FFA is hosting a turkey hunt! Find the colored ducks after AM flex and turn them into Mrs Pernot's room (G02) during PM flex, passing time, or after school. Top 3 students with the most ducks will get a prize.
