The Anime Club is hosting our first Movie Night for the year AND in the new building. The movie is Howl's Moving Castle. It will be Friday, October 16 at 4:30. It will be shown in the Performing Arts Center. Admission is free and concessions will be available for purchase.
Interested in joining Basketball Cheerleading?
There will be a mandatory meeting for all students interested in joining Basketball Cheer on Thursday, October 22nd, from 6-7pm in the M-Room. All current MHS students are welcome.

Blackhawk Technical College (BTC) Open House in Monroe
BTC will be hosting a Manufacturing Open House on Wednesday, October 21st, 2026, from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm, at the Monroe Campus, (210 4th Ave., Monroe, WI 53566). Everyone is welcome to come check out the new industrial maintenance lab and experience how learning works with hands-on demonstrations. You can also get a peek at the plans for the future Monroe Campus renovations.
2026 Student Business Pitch Contest Kickoff
This is a 4-part Pitch Contest to give students the chance to develop their business plan, building up to a Pitch Presentation, awarding $10,000 in prize money to get your business started. All Four sessions are from 4-6pm and will take place in the Launch Center at the new Monroe High School.
Wed. October 21st- Kickoff! Learn how to build a business plan
Wed. November 4th- Meet with mentors and refine the plan
Wed. November 18th- Meet with mentors, finalize and practice the pitch
Wed. December 2nd- Pitch your business plan to the judges & prizes are awarded!

Junior Optimists is organizing a trip to Schuster's Farm Haunted Forest on October 24 from 5 PM to 11 PM. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL STUDENTS AT MHS!!! We will meet at the M-Room. Thanks to a generous grant from the Monroe Morning Optimist Club (the group that makes the cheese curds), the cost for admission and the bus is reduced from $55 to $25. There is an optional corn maze for an extra $10. If you are not doing the corn maze, the Optimists also sponsored a bonfire and s'mores this year for you to stay warm until it's time to go! We usually stop at Kwik Trip on the way home if you'd like to bring money for that. Permission slips are outside Ms. Lehto's room 228. Limit 50 students. Permission slips are due 10/22!!!!
Blackhawk Technical College Exploration Days! Talons Exploration Days (TED) events at Blackhawk Technical College are coming up soon! Sign up for these exciting opportunities to explore specific programs at BTC, learn about high-demand careers, and get a preview of the college experience.

Monroe TED: Thursday, October 29 – Agribusiness, EMT, Fire Science, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, and Lab Science
Business TED: Thursday, November 5 – Accounting, Business, Culinary, Education, Hospitality Management, Digital Marketing, and Web Development
Health Sciences & Public Safety TED: Wednesday, November 18 – Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, and Emergency Services

Join Junior Optimists!
We are a club that volunteers in the community and does service projects. Volunteering is good for your soul and the community. It also helps when you need to apply for scholarships as a senior. You should join!
We meet every other Wednesday! Our next meeting will be PM flex on Wednesday, October 28. Go team!
