Message from the Principal
As outlined in our Mission Statement, “Empowering a community of confident and compassionate learners.” We are committed to supporting all of our learners to meet rigorous academic standards and fully develop their social and emotional competence. We accomplish this by focusing on great teaching and learning, which emphasizes the development of literacy and mathematical thinking to ensure access to learning in all content areas. It is also our desire to partner with our families and the community so that we may strive for continuous improvement. With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at Parkside Elementary School. Whether you are a classroom volunteer, a member of the PTO, or a special event participant, you are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child’s school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child. We hope your visit to our website will give you a quick snapshot of life at our school. Please explore to find out more about curriculum, programs, and daily events at Parkside Elementary School. |
Warm regards,
Jenna Trame

The School District of Monroe follows a Response to Intervention (RtI) or Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework in both academic achievement and social-emotional learning that focuses on early intervention, a tiered system of interventions, and consistent monitoring of data to measure the effectiveness of our curriculum and instruction. Parkside Elementary feels that social-emotional learning is just as important as academic achievement and utilizes a positive behavioral approach, known as PBIS, that includes teaching our school expectations, building community, and acknowledging positive choices. All of our school rules revolve around the three expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.
