Message from the Principal and Assistant Principal
Welcome to the 2026–2027 School Year!
Middle school is a time of incredible growth and transition. Students are discovering who they are, how they learn, and how to navigate friendships, challenges, and change. There will be moments of frustration and uncertainty, along with exciting breakthroughs and successes. Growth rarely happens in a straight line, but it always happens through perseverance, support, and meaningful relationships.
At Monroe Middle School, we embrace this journey. Our staff is committed to building strong, positive relationships with every student and partnering closely with families to support them through every twist and turn along the way. We believe that students thrive when the adults in their lives work together with a shared purpose and common language.
That common language is found in our CHEESE Expectations. These expectations guide how we treat one another, make decisions, solve problems, and contribute to our school community. When students hear, see, and practice these values consistently at school, at home, and throughout our community, they develop habits and character traits that extend far beyond the classroom. CHEESE is more than a school-wide expectation. It is a foundation for becoming respectful, responsible, and caring individuals wherever life takes them.
Together, through strong relationships and a shared commitment to our CHEESE Expectations, we can help every student become the very best version of themselves. Every student, staff, family, and community member plays an important role in creating a culture where everyone feels connected, valued, and supported.
We sincerely value your partnership as we begin the 2026–2027 school year. If challenges arise, please know that we are committed to partnering with you to identify solutions and provide the support your child needs to be successful. Together, we can help every student feel safe, welcomed, and ready to learn each day.
Respectfully,
Matt Brown & Lindsay Dahmen

We encourage parents to access their accounts so they can download the mobile app and update their preferences on when and how they are notified.
