Anyone interested in joining the boy’s tennis team for this spring can sign-up outside of Mr. Bordner's room (R11).
 
Any student interested in track & field this spring, please sign-up outside of Coach Ochsner’s room (R07).
 
Blackhawk Technical College (BTC) is offering three classes at their Monroe Campus. Applications for all three classes are due by March 1. If you are interested, please contact Mrs. Carper for more details and application instructions.
*FREE Summer CNA Class
If you are interested in a career in healthcare, BTC is offering a FREE Nursing Assistant class at the Monroe Campus.
Classes will tentatively meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am-2:30 pm from June 9 to July 24.
Students must be at least 16 years old to apply for the program and 17 to take the state exam which must be taken within 12 months of the course delivery. Students will be required to complete Health Portal requirements prior to the end of the 2025-26 school year to be eligible for this class.
*FREE Fire Academy
Interested in becoming a career or volunteer firefighter or first responder? Consider signing up for this class at BTC. Grant funding allows this class to be free to you, but sign up is first-come-first-served, so sign up NOW! Fire Academy is a year-long program offered 1st hour + flex next school year. 
*Students must be 17 by September 1, 2026.
Classes will follow BTC’s semester schedule, so classes will begin August 17, 2026. Students who enroll in the BTC Collegiate Academy must enroll for the entire school year. Upon successful completion, students will earn 1.5 credits from MHS.
*FREE Accelerated Industrial Maintenance Program
BTC is offering a FREE Accelerated Industrial Maintenance (AIM) Program this summer at the BTC-Monroe Campus. This program is for high school students (and graduates) who are interested in learning more about the manufacturing industry. Students will participate in three courses: Mechanics of Learning, Safety (OSHA 30 General Industry Certificate), and Troubleshooting Integrated Manufacturing Systems 1 (TIMS). Students will also have the chance to explore career opportunities in the manufacturing field through job shadowing and career exploration at local manufacturing companies. Students must be at least 16 years old to apply.

Freshmen — intense dodgeball is happening. You can either be on the court going all out, or on the sidelines explaining why you weren't. Show up, or spend the rest of your LIFE wishing you had.
