The MHS Student Senate invites you, your family, and your friends to kick off Homecoming week at our Homecoming Kick-Off Dinner! The event will take place on Sunday, September 27th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the beautiful new MHS M-Room. Come enjoy a delicious meal catered by Vince's of Monroe, catch updates from our fall sports teams, and celebrate the introduction of the 2026 Homecoming Court. Tickets are adults-$13.00/Students-Senior Citizens-$10.00 and can be purchased at the MHS office or at the door. Carryouts are available. Menu: Alfredo w/Penne, Mostaccioli w/Meatballs, Caesar Salad, Focaccia Bread, Water
College Visits:
A college representative will be here to meet with any students interested in their school during PM flex for the following colleges:
October 5--UW Stevens Point
October 19--Creighton University
October 20–UW-Whitewater
The MHS Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 3rd from 7:00-10:00 pm in the M-Room (enter through the main doors). The cost is $10 and students will need to bring an ID. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door. If students are interested in bringing a guest who is not an MHS student, a form must be completed by Wednesday, September 30th. Forms are available in the office!
Graduation Cap and Gown Orders and Class Ring Orders will be picked up on Oct. 1, 2026 during both lunches (10:55-12:35 pm) in the M-room. This is the only opportunity to submit orders at school. All orders after that date and time will need to be submitted online!
Seniors and Parents - Financial Aid Meeting Info -
Below you will find information about our upcoming Financial Aid Meeting. This meeting is important for Senior students and their parents to attend in order to learn about grants, loans and tips for completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Please put this in your calendar!

Attention Juniors - PSAT Information -
The PSAT will be given Tuesday, October 13th. This exam is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program and also good practice for standardized exams you will take this school year. The exam costs $18. Students must have a cash or check payment with them in order to sign up for this exam. The sign up is located in Student Services. Deadline to sign up is Monday, October 5th at 3:30.

Chalk a Block! Chalk a Block is the newest Homecoming rage. To make the most of our plaza, we are inviting all clubs, sports teams, and class officers to decorate a plaza square with sidewalk chalk. Designs must align with the Homecoming theme, "City of Stars," or celebrate Cheesemaker Pride. The finished artwork will be on display for the community on game night. Design & Registration Guidelines:
Square Size: Roughly 6ft x 6ft.
Submission: Groups must submit their design to Mrs. Roidt or Mr. Brown for approval by Wednesday, September 23rd. Designs must fill the entire space and be school-appropriate.
Assignments: Once approved, your group will be assigned a plaza square on the day of chalking to ensure even spacing.
Decorating Schedule:
Official decorating time is set for PM Flex on Monday and Wednesday of Homecoming week.
Groups are welcome to work on their squares outside of these designated times if additional work is needed.
Do you have sciency interests? Do you like sharing that enthusiasm with others? If so, sign up for Science Club on Ms. Ochsner's door (room 231). Let us know what FLEX(s) - am/pm and day - would best fit your schedule. Members decide what we would like to focus on!

Then, the Forensics is the place for you! Forensics is competitive public speaking, acting, and reading where you can talk about any topic ranging from The Significance of Tung Tung Tung Sahur all the way to The Psychological Consequences of Chernobyl! Do you want to perform your favorite comedy sketch? Act with a group of friends? Try out your best radio voice? Read your own poetry? There is a category and topic for everyone here!
