MHS LMC Closed Monday, Sept. 29!
The Java Spot is opening Tuesday, September 30th! Stop by for fresh scones, turnovers, cinnamon rolls, and coffee or tea. Don’t miss our fall seasonal syrups—available for a limited time!
 
Art Club will have their first meeting on Monday, September 29th, during PM Flex. We will be talking about Homecoming and Fine Arts Festival! See Mrs. Douglas or Mrs. Jablonski with questions.
 
The Senior Class photo will be taken in the gym at the beginning of Homeroom, Friday 9/26. 
 Report straight to the gym, then report to your homeroom for attendance after the photo. We will not wait for you, so please plan accordingly. You are encouraged to wear school colors!

Book Club Is looking for more members!
Book Club meets every Wednesday in the LMC to discuss what books we've been reading. Snacks are occasionally provided! Talk to Mrs. Schmelzer if you are interested.
 
Club Earth is hosting a homecoming dress swap event. Donate a lightly used dress between Sept. 3-27 and get a coupon for a free dress. Coupons can also be traded in for a pair of shoes or up to two pieces of jewelry. Donated dresses can be dropped off at the front office or Ms. Dilley's (W08) or Mr. Dickson's (R06) rooms. Nothing to swap? All dresses will be $10!

Sophomore Class Ring/Senior Graduation Order Pick Up: Midwest Scholastic representatives will be at MHS on Tuesday, Sept. 30 to pick up sophomore and senior orders during all 3 lunch periods. Students are to bring orders on that day to turn in during those lunch periods.
PSAT Information - 
The PSAT will be given Tuesday, October 14th in the LMC.  This exam is the qualifying exam for the National Merit Scholarship Program and also good practice for standardized exams you will take this school year.  The exam costs $18.  Students must have a cash or check payment with them in order to sign up for this exam.  The sign up is located in Student Services.  Deadline to sign up is Thursday, October 2nd at 3:30.

Below is information about our upcoming Senior Student and Parent Financial Aid Meeting.
This meeting is important for Senior students and their parents to attend in order to learn about grants, loans and the process for completing the Free Application For Student Aid.

Homecoming Dance – Saturday, October 11th!
The MHS Homecoming Dance is Saturday, October 11th from 7:00-10:00 pm. The cost is $9 and students will need to bring an ID.  Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.  If students are interested in bringing a guest who is not an MHS student, a form must be completed by Wednesday, October 8th. Forms are available in the office!
 
Have you started a business or plan to start a business?
If you are dreaming of launching a new product, starting a local service, or building a tech solution, this program will give you the tools you need (and up to $2,000) to take the first steps in entrepreneurship.
The Emerging Entrepreneurs Business Competition starts soon! (Open to Green County students in 9-12th grades.)
 Learn from the experts on Oct. 1, Oct. 22 and Nov. 5, or submit your business plan your way. Submission window November 6 – 14.

Students, if you plan on attending the Homecoming Kickoff Pasta Dinner on Sunday, October 5th you NEED to purchase your tickets ahead of time. Tickets are $10.00 and can be purchased from the office or Mrs. Roidt in room R15.
